FAQs
FAQs about your boudoir shoot
- No one who has posed in front of a camera knew how to do it the first time. There are women in different shapes and sizes, ages, restrictions, experiences so every photoshoot is different and unique. I am here to help you to prepare yourself for the day, to guide you and to make your portraits pictures perfect! All you have to do is to relax and enjoy your day!
- No, sadly, for the moment I don't have a studio of my own. Therefore I offer 2 choices as locations; either at your house (or another place of your choice, can be at you friends, parents, hotel etc.) or at a rented studio, airbnb or hotel depending of your location and style of shoot. I am searching presently for options for a studio so once I will move in, I will let you all know by email (if you are subscribed to my mailing list) and by social media.
- Once you have decided to invest in a boudoir experience, I will send you an email with a downloadable PDF file. It contains a list of items you can bring with you, lots of tips, posing tricks... oh, and yes, of course you have to practice in front of the mirror, it comes with the deal!! But generally, the first thing you have to think about is your outfits and everything that comes with; shoes, jewelry, special hairpieces, other things you might need for your shoot. Do you have any personal items you like and wish to have in your photos? What kind of music do you like? Create yourself a playlist with your best tunes. Start planning and you'll see, you come into the shoot as a professional! Start dreaming on my Pinterest boudoir page.
- First of all, what is "too sexy"? If you are worried that you are going to be judged, well, you probably are. You will always find someone who has a view more narrow than yours and vice-versa, you also might be surprised of the openness of some others. The point is, you can not please everybody so start pleasing yourself and choose the 3 outfits you want to wear with pride! This is why "too sexy" doesn't exist. You can bring with you exactly the outfits and underwear you want, as long as it makes you feel like a kick-ass rockstar! Try to think about 3-4 different styles / colors. Do not forget your shoes and other outfit accessories! In my PDF that I'll send to you, you'll find a link to some local clothing stores around that personally I like and from where I order my stuff but you can find beautiful outfits in most boutiques that sells underwear.
- Absolutely not even if I recommend it! If you feel better to stay more natural or you wish to do it yourself, it is fine with me as long as you mention it to me before the shoot since I have to reserve my HMU artist for each shoot. But remember that even the "more natural" looks are achieved with makeup to look better... It is included in the price but if you opt not to have the HMU I will give you a rebate of 100$ towards any of my packages. The moment you would spend with the hair & makeup artist is a relaxing & preparing moment for you so I highly recommend this service for you to feel good and relaxed.
- You can bring in a friend for the hair & makeup part but once we start the shoot, it is important to be just the two of us. Maybe your friend could go shopping or have a dinner meanwhile?
- Yes you can. I'm happy to schedule a new date for you. You can reschedule your date once with a minimum notice of 14 days without penalty. If you cancel/reschedule within 14 days, there is a non refundable rescheduling fee of $250 in order to reschedule your shoot day. In case of a no-show (you do not show up for the appointment) or cancellation of your appointment, any balance with the retainer of $250 already paid is not refundable. Once your date has been reserved, contract signed and the retainer paid, I stop offering that date to other clients who might have been interested in a shoot that day.
- Non-refundable retainer fee of $250 is payable by wire-transfer or cash on the day of the reservation of the Experience. For the balance of the payment I accept wire-transfer and cash. The balance is due two (2) days before your photo shoot. The products are to be paid in 1 or 2 payments with the same payment methods as above.
FAQs about your boudoir images
- A consent form is written as an agreement of what we have agreed about your photos. The agreement provides rights to publishing on various media platforms. This includes social media, websites, print, and television. It protects you and me from any misunderstandings and consents what can be done with your images as well as what not. For example, if I wish to publish your beautiful picture on my instagram as publicity for Boudoir by Ninja, by law, I must have a consent form filled by you. You can read more about it here.
- After receiving your pictures via WeTransfer, they are yours and you can do whatever you wish to do with them. You have the right to print or publish the pictures but you can not monetize from my pictures without my permission.
- No, I don't publish your pictures. Though, I am probably going to ask you if you wish to have your pictures published on my social media, website or other promotional media but it is up to you if you want to give me a written permission (Model release form / Consent form) or not. I am always respecting that decision. All pictures on my social media and website have a written consent done about publishing them by the models so they are all up there with permission!
- Yes, retouching is a normal process of photography to bring out light, deepen the shadows, basic skincorrection, color correction and other minor improvments to the photography. I carefully remove major wrinkles from clothing, buttons, and other skin imperfections, with a few other basic retouches. I do not take away weight or other major alterations to the picture!
- Creating a composition of images takes a bit more of photoshop and yes, it is a separate service I offer. An example of this is to put you on a beach even if the picture was taken in a studio. But normally these pictures are for another clientele than my boudoir clients. If you are interested in a composition image, contact me here for more information.
- After your digital pictures have been corrected and treated, I will send them to you by WeTransfer or give them to you on a USB-key, depending on your package. WeTransfer is a secure way of sending large digital files to an email without loosing any quality. WeTransfer is zipping your files so for the easiness of it, I recommend you to save the file on your computer. Read more about WeTransfer here. You have 7 days to download the file after receiving it by email. Another option is that I put them up on OneDrive and you download the digital pictures from there.
- High resolution image contains more pixels per inch (PPI) or dots per inch (DPI) so it is more clear as a photo versus the low rez resulting in more pixel information and creating a high-quality, crisp image. High-rez dpi is standard for print products such as flyers, brochures and business cards. Low resolution image has lower PPI / DPI (from 72-220). The smaller the file size, meaning faster download and viewing times. Low-res PPI is suitable for computer monitors, TV screens and webpages where the standard is 72 PPI.Still have questions?
