Your boudoir photography experience is about you, your story, your body, your curves, and your beauty! It is an experience out of the ordinary, a bit scary even, but in the end, it brings you joy and pleasure of exposing your softer side as a memory of you that will last forever!

What is boudoir photography?

So, what is boudoir photography all about? Well, I'd say, it is sensual photography where the goal is to make the person feel empowered and powerful by the images taken. Boudoir photography is not nude photography but it brings out the more sensual, natural, and soft side of the person and yes, also a bit more skin but also some clothing. It is to liberate ourselves to be beautiful without boundaries and restrictions.
Boudoir photography is also playing with shadows and light to capture the mood of the moment, so depending on the room, the direction of the light and color, pictures from one session to another are different.

I do shootings at my home where I have a livingroom flooded with light but where optionionnaly I can create some darker and moodier pictures too.
I do shootings at my place only during the weekdays.

One great option for a photoshoot location is at your home, in the place that you feel the most comfortable and free. Maybe your home isn't apt for a photo shoot but someone you know has a wonderful house/ apartment that you can borrow for the day? Well, we can shoot there too!

You can also choose from not doing the shoot at your place, but instead opt for a hotel, Airbnb, or studio. The best place for a boudoir photo shoot is in a place where there's lots of natural light, furniture (at least a bed and a couch), some big, nice houseplants, and of course decluttered.
While the focus of the picture is you, it is equally important to think about the background, and how it affects the overall effect of the picture.

And for all the men, you have the right to invest in yourself and give yourself photos that reflects you! Men are sensual and beautiful, hairy and rough, therefore the posing differs from women's boudoir photography.
